Roots & Legacies was selected through a competitive RFP process to lead NGFA’s long-range strategic planning initiative. Through facilitated workshops, we helped define clear objectives and restructure the committee framework, ensuring each group’s contributions aligned with NGFA’s overarching goals. This process clarified roles and responsibilities, creating a more efficient governance structure.

Following the development of the long-range plan, Roots & Legacies conducted a deep analysis of NGFA’s communications channels, including email, social media, webinars, and educational tools. Rather than relying solely on stakeholder interviews, we co-developed a comprehensive questionnaire with NGFA to gather unaided perceptions of the organization’s outreach efforts. This shift allowed NGFA to collect more meaningful feedback and better understand how its messaging resonated with members and partners.

To further support NGFA’s strategic planning efforts, Roots & Legacies facilitated a structured noon-to-noon planning session. We provided initial guidance to NGFA’s task force before stepping away to allow them to engage in discussion and brainstorming. The next day, we returned with refined materials for review, helping NGFA synthesize their ideas into actionable strategies.
