The Solution
Drawing on its longstanding partnership with Merck and deep expertise in event strategy, Roots & Legacies successfully led the transition of the Advancing Animal Welfare Together Symposium to an all-virtual format. We ensured that the digital event retained the same level of engagement, interaction, and value as the in-person experience. Over time, our role evolved beyond logistics to shaping the event’s strategic content. Roots & Legacies facilitated discussions around key themes, integrated live and interactive sessions, and gathered valuable feedback from supply chain collaborators—allowing Merck to refine its messaging and approach based on real audience insights.
To further elevate the symposium’s impact, Roots & Legacies facilitated a dialogue with Merck’s Advisory Council, a group of industry leaders in animal welfare and sustainability. We helped align their recommendations with the symposium’s themes, ensuring that the event reflected real-world challenges and solutions. Additionally, Roots & Legacies worked to enhance attendee engagement by prioritizing high-impact experiences. We facilitated opportunities for graduate students to present their research alongside seasoned professionals, curated meaningful networking sessions, and procured high-quality event materials to enhance hospitality and brand presence.
