Overview

Changing Seasons is a developmental program designed specifically for agricultural student leaders nearing the end of their college careers. As the end comes to the college years, a variety of challenges await new graduates: finding a career, making a home in a new community, and balancing a family and career. Changing Seasons was founded to enrich the development of student leaders as they prepare to meet these challenges and successfully contribute to agriculture and society.

In the agriculture industry, our livelihood is tied to the land and to the change in seasons. We depend upon winter dormancy, spring rains, summer sunshine, and cool autumn days to bring in the harvest to help feed the world. Changing Seasons is designed with this cycle of life in mind. In the same way a farmer sows the seed and tills the soil in anticipation of a bountiful harvest, this conference grows the mind and stirs the spirit of student leaders as they discover how they may best contribute to our industry and our world.

The program provides a balance of activities to foster a complete learning environment. The messages are conveyed to the students through young career professionals and respected industry leaders. Students are challenged to evaluate personal values, reflect on past experience and establish new expectations through the most current educational and developmental methods. Changing Seasons offers top college students invited by special invitation an incredible opportunity to prepare for the challenges ahead.
